Feature Overview

Everything you need to compose, customize, and export App Store-ready screenshots.

📱

Device Frame Styles

Choose from a library of iPhone and iPad device frames. Apply a frame style to wrap your in-app screenshot with realistic bezels, shadows, and rounded corners.

🖼️

Screenshot Upload

Upload images from your photo library. The app detects the device screen region and maps your screenshot inside the selected frame automatically.

✏️

Text & Titles

Add marketing headlines with full typography controls — font family, weight, size, letter spacing, line height, alignment, decoration, and color.

🎨

Background Customization

Pick preset backgrounds or upload a custom image to set the visual tone behind your device mockup.

↔️

Cross-Screen Templates

Multi-page templates support elements that span two screenshots (e.g. a phone mockup crossing the boundary between screenshot 1 and 2). Edit once, preview everywhere.

📤

HD Export

Export individual template pages or all pages at once. Choose the target App Store device size (5.5″ through 6.9″ iPhone, iPad Pro 13″) and save directly to your photo library.

🗂️

Multi-Page Editor

Swipe through template pages in a horizontal carousel. Switch pages via header thumbnails and edit each viewport independently while shared elements stay in sync.

Pro Membership

Subscribe to unlock all premium templates, VIP device frames, and HD export for restricted assets. Restore purchases anytime from the Profile tab.

Feature Modules

Screen Shot is organized into two main tabs. Each module serves a specific role in the screenshot workflow.

🏠

Home — Template Editor

The primary workspace. Browse templates, open the multi-page editor, customize device frames, upload screenshots, edit text and backgrounds, and export finished images. Supports horizontal page swiping and header thumbnail navigation.

👤

Profile — Account & Settings

Manage membership status, restore purchases, access My Templates, submit feedback, rate the app, and open Privacy / Terms / Auto-Renewal documents. System permission settings can be opened from here on iOS.

📱

Devices Menu

Bottom toolbar → Devices. Browse device frame styles grouped by model. Selecting a frame updates the template preview and determines the default export aspect ratio. VIP frames show a lock icon until Pro is active.

✏️

Text Editor Panel

Bottom toolbar → Text. Opens a bottom sheet with controls for title content, font family, weight, size, letter spacing, line height, alignment, decoration (underline / strikethrough), and color picker.

🖼️

Screenshot & Background Menus

Screenshot uploads your in-app capture and auto-detects the screen region inside the device frame. Background lets you pick a preset or upload a custom backdrop image for the template canvas.

📤

Export Menu

Top-right Export button. Choose single-page or all-pages export, select the App Store device size, and confirm. Requires photo library write permission. VIP templates prompt subscription if not a Pro member.

Best Practices

Recommendations for high-quality App Store screenshots and smooth editing experience.

Image Resolution

Use 2× or 3× source screenshots. Avoid upscaling small images — they will appear blurry after export.

Export Size Matching

Always export at the resolution required by your App Store Connect screenshot slot. Mismatched sizes may be rejected or scaled by Apple.

Cross-Screen Frames

Never duplicate a device frame across pages manually. Use cross-screen templates so one element stays aligned during drag and export.

Troubleshooting

Quick solutions for the most common issues reported by users.

Save failed / Photo library permission denied

Go to iPhone Settings → Screen Shot → Photos and set access to "All Photos" or "Add Photos Only". Then retry export.

Cannot select images from library

Grant read access when prompted. If previously denied, open system Settings for the app and enable Photo Library access, then restart Screen Shot.

Preview area is not ready

The canvas is still initializing. Wait 1–2 seconds after switching templates or device frames before exporting. Avoid rapid page switching during export.

Device frames fail to load

Check your network connection — frame assets are fetched from the server. Pull to refresh on the Devices menu or restart the app if loading persists.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the app need photo library access?
Photo library read access is required to select screenshots and custom backgrounds. Write access is required to save exported images. All image processing happens locally on your device — your personal photos are not uploaded to any server.
Export failed or says "Device frame layer is not ready"
Wait a moment for the preview to finish loading, then try again. Make sure you have selected a device frame before exporting. If the issue persists, switch to another template page and back, or restart the app.
Why can't I export a template with a VIP device frame?
Some device frames are premium assets available to Pro members only. Tap Subscribe on the export dialog or visit the Profile tab to upgrade. After subscribing, HD export for all premium frames is unlocked.
How do I restore my membership on a new device?
Go to the Profile tab and tap Restore Purchases in the top-right corner. The app verifies your Apple ID subscription record and reactivates membership automatically. If no subscription is found, confirm you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
How do I cancel auto-renewal?
Open iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Subscriptions, select the Screen Shot membership, and tap Cancel Subscription. Your Pro benefits remain active until the end of the current billing period.
Can I get a refund for my subscription?
Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple following Apple's refund policy. The development team cannot process App Store refunds directly.
Which export size should I choose?
Match the export size to the App Store screenshot slot you are targeting. For example, use 6.5″ (1242 × 2688) for iPhone 14 Plus / 13 Pro Max class devices, or 6.9″ (1320 × 2868) for the latest Pro Max models. If unsure, check Apple's current App Store Connect screenshot requirements for your app's primary device family.
Is my data stored on a server?
Image selection and export are processed locally. Template metadata may be fetched from the app's backend for browsing, but your personal photo library content is never uploaded for editing or export purposes. See the in-app Privacy Policy for full details.
